Protecting your slabs: understanding Graded Card Sleeves

Are you new to the world of Graded Card collecting? Did you just receive your submission back from your grader of choice and now standing confused at the sleeve options available to you? Not to fear! By the end of this blog post, you can be the guy that explains an overly niche topic to a group of people that neither cared or have ever considered the thing you’re super interested in actually exists…

Anyway, so what is the purpose of Graded Card Sleeves? Well like with the rest of our sleeve offerings, it comes down to adding a layer of protection to your cards which many enthusiasts elect to use as a simple, cost effective option to help keep their cards minty.

“But won’t the plastic casing that PSA, BGS, CGC, etc put over the card protect it?” Fair question with a simple answer: yes! However, those new to collecting Graded Cards may be unaware of how susceptible the plastic casings on Graded Cards are to damage! And those who have been into Graded Cards a long time know just how time consuming and expensive it is to get your cards reholderd - especially if you live on an island in the middle of nowhere *cries in ANZ*. However I digress; the casings of Graded Cards are so prone to damage that even dust can cause scratches.

So, what’s an easy and cheap way that many Graded Card collectors do to keep their collection safe - use specially designed Graded Card Sleeves! Here at Palms Off Gaming, we’ve been doing Graded Card Sleeves for many years and in fact they were our very first product from way back in the day!

Palms Off Gaming Graded Sleeves come in three different varieties: MiftFit PSA Graded Card Sleeves Regular, MintFit PSA Graded Card Sleeves Extra Thick, and MintFit BGS Graded Card Sleeves. You may now be wondering why we’ve stuck to catering for PSA and BGS collectors, the answer is that these are the two most popular grading services available by a large margin, even in Australia. However, quite a few of the smaller grading companies do use a very similar size of casing as PSA or BGS. So if you’re collecting slabs from one of the smaller grading firms, you might be able to get away with using our MintFit Graded Card Sleeves in either their PSA or BGS forms.

And that's it! Now you're fully prepared to select your new pack of Graded Card Sleeves ?
